Cookies make websites work better

Cookies are small text files placed on your computer by websites. They provide useful information to companies, which helps in all sorts of ways.  For you, it means you can use the site more efficiently and save time by not having to re-enter your login details each time you view a different member page.  For us, cookies help us to analyse how our readers interact with our site.

We use two types of cookies on our websites:

  • Session cookies that are deleted after each visit.
  • Persistent cookies that remain in place across multiple visits to our site.

You can accept or block cookies

By using our website you agree that we can place both session and persistent cookies on your computer.

You can choose that your browser does not accept cookies through your browser settings.

For more information about how to disable cookies in your browser please visit the About Cookies website.

Cookies we use

Session Cookie

A session cookie is used when you log in to the members area.  The cookie prevents you having to log in again as you view each page during a session.  A session cookie is not stored on your computer and expires when you terminate your browser session.

Persistent Cookies

The persistent cookies are used to track your visits to web pages and to prevent the cookies message reappearing after you have cancelled it.  Tracking pages visited helps us to identify those areas that are of most interest.
